Deye Inverter Warranty: Extended Coverage
Welcome to the Extended Deye Inverter Warranty. It gives your solar system more protection. This extra warranty starts when you buy from a Deye Inverter from us and lasts five more years beyond Deye’s standard warranty. Use it with batteries like Shoto, Dyness, Lemoen, Volta, Deye, and Sunwoda for the best results. Links are below. For the Standard Warranty Policy on Deye and Lux Power specifically click here. These policies should be read as mutually inclusive of each other.
How to Meet Deye Inverter Warranty Standards
For your Deye Inverter Warranty to work, a certified electrician must install your system – no exceptions. They need to follow SANS 10142 standards and our warranty rules – link below. You’ll need an electrical certificate (COC) and installation photos for any warranty claims. If your system is a Small Scale Embedded Generation (SSEG) in other words Panels, Inverter and Battery, you also need proof of registration with the local authority. Some municipalities require that even backup systems are registered.
To keep your warranty valid, make sure to service your system annually, within 2 months of the 12-month anniversary of its registration, for each of the 10 years. This requirement also applies when selling the property upon registration. Failure to adhere to this schedule may result in warranty voidance.
What the Deye Inverter Warranty Doesn’t Cover
There are some things the Warranty doesn’t protect against. This includes damage from the environment, not following instructions, poor installation, not using protection devices, changing the system, or overusing it. The warranty won’t work if the installation isn’t as per manufacturers guidelines and local laws and regulations.
Registering for the Extended Deye Inverter Warranty
To start your Extended Deye Inverter Warranty, register your installation on our website. Share all details about your installation, including photos and the COC. If you sell your place, you must give a valid COC for the home and the solar system to the new owner. They must also service the system fully. The new owner should register to keep the warranty.
Keeping Your System Great with Extended Warranty
Regular checks and upkeep are key under the Extended Warranty. This includes looking over solar panels and the inverter and batteries.
Transferring the Inverter Warranty
If you’re selling a property with a solar system, here’s how to transfer the Warranty:
- The seller gives a valid Electrical Certificate (COC) for the home and solar system.
- The seller should have a full service record of the system.
- The new owner transfers the system warranty to maintain the warranty until it runs out.
