PVPOWER SHIPPING TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. GENERAL SHIPPING POLICY
All orders are shipped by PvPower (Pty) Ltd on behalf of the customer and at the customer’s instruction.
Dispatch may occur via:
• The Courier Guy
• PvPower’s own delivery vehicles
• Any courier appointed by the customer
depending on the delivery location and chosen method.
2. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
PvPower (Pty) Ltd does not provide international shipping.
• International customers must arrange their own collection.
• Unless otherwise stated in writing, all prices are quoted EXW (Ex Works).
3. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY AND OUTLYING / REMOTE AREA SURCHARGES
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the correct and complete delivery address and contact details are provided during checkout or when ordering via our sales team (phone, WhatsApp, or email).
If a delivery address is classified as an outlying or remote area, and the online courier quote proves inaccurate, the customer agrees to:
a) Pay the additional courier or transport charges required to release and deliver the goods to the final address; or
b) Collect the goods at their own cost from the point up to which delivery was covered by the original quoted price.
The customer indemnifies PvPower (Pty) Ltd against any such outlying/remote area surcharges or administrative fees that may arise.
4. INSURANCE
• All shipments are exclusive of insurance unless Optional Insurance is selected at checkout.
• Optional Insurance is an add-on service available at additional cost and is not included by default.
• The insurance policy wording is available upon request. Final claim approval or rejection rests solely with the insurer, and coverage is dependent on the policy wording applicable at the time of shipping.
• The customer indemnifies PvPower (Pty) Ltd against any claim not approved or partially paid by the insurer.
• PvPower (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for loss or damage during transit, including but not limited to:
– Theft
– Looting
– Hijacking
– Fire
– Mishandling
– Negligence
– Acts of God
– Any other cause beyond our control,
unless Optional Insurance has been selected and the loss is covered under the insurer’s policy wording.
5. COMPLETION OF ORDERS
An order is considered completed once payment has been received in accordance with PvPower’s standard trading terms and conditions.
6. RISK, HANDOVER, AND SECURING OF GOODS (ALL ITEMS)
• Risk in the goods passes to the customer immediately upon handover to the selected courier, transport provider, or upon collection by the customer or their appointed representative.
• PvPower does not sell damaged goods, and no claim will be entertained for damage reported after handover.
• Any damage found after dispatch is considered to have occurred during transit or while in the customer’s custody and control.
• From the moment goods leave PvPower’s custody and control, PvPower (Pty) Ltd will not accept any claims.
• In the unlikely event that an item is damaged during loading by PvPower staff, PvPower will replace or refund the item at no cost to the customer.
• PvPower (Pty) Ltd is not responsible for securing goods on any courier or customer vehicle.
• Customers must ensure they (or their appointed couriers) bring adequate strapping and securing equipment to ensure safe transport of all goods.
• This requirement also applies when customers load goods themselves at our premises.
7. COURIER HANDLING AND TRANSIT DAMAGE
Applies to all items, with specific emphasis on solar panels.
All items:
• PvPower (Pty) Ltd takes no responsibility for any damage, loss, or breakage that occurs during transport by any courier, transport company, or third party once the goods have left our premises — even when customers load goods themselves.
• If no attempt is made to show visible damage during loading, and no clear proof can be established that the damage occurred under PvPower’s control, PvPower will not entertain any claims.
• All items supplied by PvPower are fragile and must be handled and secured with proper care at all times.
Solar panels (specific emphasis):
• Solar panels are fragile and susceptible to damage if handled or secured incorrectly.
• Each panel is tested and inspected for visible defects before dispatch.
• Shipment of solar panels — whether via The Courier Guy, PvPower delivery vehicles, or any other courier — is done entirely at the customer’s risk.
• PvPower (Pty) Ltd accepts no liability for:
– Cracked glass
– Cell fractures
– Micro-cracks
– Impact damage
– Concealed damage
– Any courier-related loss or damage
once panels leave our premises.
• Customers may appoint their own courier, but the same risk allocation applies.
8. STANDARD TRADING CONDITIONS
All shipping is subject to PvPower’s Standard Trading Terms and Conditions, available upon request.
9. STORAGE AND COLLECTION AFTER PAYMENT
• Once goods are paid for and ready for collection at PvPower’s warehouse, the customer must arrange prompt collection within two (2) working days.
• PvPower (Pty) Ltd provides a two-day grace period for collection after notification that goods are ready.
• After this grace period, PvPower accepts no responsibility for the safekeeping, protection, or condition of the goods.
• Any loss, damage, or deterioration that occurs after the grace period shall be entirely at the customer’s risk.
• This policy ensures that PvPower can keep dispatch bays and warehouse areas clear to provide timely service to all valued customers.
CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGMENT FOR ALL ITEMS (INCLUDING SOLAR PANELS)
I acknowledge that shipping and transport of all items, including solar panels, is entirely at my risk, and PvPower (Pty) Ltd accepts no liability for any transit loss, damage, or deterioration once goods leave PvPower’s premises.

- The customer books a collection time during the checkout process. See picture below.

- Orders may be collected – ONLY – once the “Ready for Collection” status update email has been received.

Pay on collection is only valid with a VALID order number – GIVE THIS NUMBER TO SECURITY, INSTANT EFT AND CARD PAYMENTS ACCEPTED ON “Pay on Collection” – FUNDS NEED TO CLEAR BEFORE STOCK LEAVES. We can only assist 1 customer at a time.
